Salsa Flash Mob: Do you want to be in a flash mob? Here's your chance:-) We are starting up salsa flash mob rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at the Hills health club, 4615 Bee Cave Road, 7:30-9:30pm, starting Feb. 1st. William and Julio will be heading up these rehearsals. Dance International's normal Ballroom and Latin classes on Wednesday evenings will move to Thursday evenings 7:30pm Ballroom and 8:30pm Latin for the next 2-3 months while rehearsals are going on for the flash mob.

¡Salsa Central! Would you like to win some cash? Our annual Salsa Festival with Central Market is happening on Sat. March 31 from 6-9 PM at 4001 N. Lamar Blvd. Central Market is donating cash prizes of $250 for 1st place, $150 for 2nd place, and $100 for 3rd place. Dance International gift certificates are awarded to the 4th, 5th, and 6th place winners:-)

13th Annual Austin Ballroom Festival! Are you ready for some great dancing? We are going on our 13th year of hosting the Annual Ballroom Festival - WOW . This event is sponsored by the city of Austin's cultural contract division and many others - so thank you again! This year it will be at the Radisson Hotel downtown on Cesar Chavez St. on Saturday, April 14th. There will be workshops, dinner, dancing, performances by the CURRENT WORLD BALLROOM CHAMPIONS ARUNAS AND KATUSHA, and an after hours party. So SAVE THE DATE SATURDAY APRIL 14TH, 2012 FOR THE WONDERFUL AUSTIN BALLROOM FESTIVAL. Tickets and more information will be available soon:-)

Looking for Kids ballroom & Latin dance classes? Dance International offers group kids/youth ballroom and Latin dance classes at the Unity Church of the Hills. Click here for details. We will be teaching:

• ballroom and latin classes for ages 9-11 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 (instructor-Sasha Kurashko)
• ballroom and latin classes for ages 12-16 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00 (instructor-Stewart Yaros)
