Priscilla Mojica-Rust

Priscilla Mojica-Rust is a career music educator having taught K-9th grade general music in the Austin Independent School District. She taught the state mandated elements of music through singing, playing simple instruments, listening, and moving to music. Priscilla was consistently rated "clearly outstanding" and even achieved perfect scores on her AISD teaching evaluations. A native of Austin, she graduated with a degree in Music Education from UT Austin, with organ as her principal instrument. Additionally, she has conducted children and adult church choirs. Currently, she is teaching recorder, a small wind instrument, with Life Time Learning, and has taught music the last three summers for the Summer Youth Camps of Dance International. She is also a student of Stewart Yaros. Her other interests include baking, reading, movies, and Longhorn football. She finds great joy in sharing her love and knowledge of music with children and adults.

In addition, Priscilla headed up Dance International's Salsa Fiesta Fundraiser in 2011 and is again heading up our fall fundraiser for 2012.
